4) I’VE NEVER DONE CROSSFIT BEFORE. ONCE I SIGN UP, HOW DO I GET STARTED?
Once you’ve registered for a membership, you’ll need to go through our “Elements” program before you are allowed to start taking our group CrossFit classes. The Elements program consists of 3 classes designed to teach you the fundamental techniques and movements that you’ll encounter in a typical CrossFit workout. Elements is mandatory for any new member who has less than 3 months of CrossFit experience. At Depot, we want to help better ensure your safety and get you the most out of your workouts. 5) I’VE DONE CROSSFIT BEFORE. CAN I SKIP THE 3 ELEMENTS CLASSES?
If you have done CrossFit at another affiliate for more than 3 months and one of our coaches signs off on your technique/movements, you are welcome to jump right into our CrossFit classes!
1) HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR CLASSES?
Log into your Wodify account, click “Calendar,” and select your desired class to reserve your spot. Once you arrive, please sign in either via the kiosk in the gym or through your phone. If you need help, please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
2) DO I HAVE TO SIGN UP FOR CLASSES AHEAD OF TIME?
Please sign up for your desired class at least one hour before start time. Conversely, if you cannot make a class that you’ve registered for, please try to cancel at least an hour ahead of time, so that someone else can attend.
3) HOW DO I CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP?
If your initial commitment period is over, you can cancel at any time for any reason, with the provision that you provide us with a 30-day notice by submitting a completed membership cancellation form available here. Send an email to email@example.com should you have a request outside this policy.
4) CAN I PUT MY MEMBERSHIP ON HOLD?
Members are allowed to place their accounts on hold one (1) time per year. The hold period is a minimum of one (1) month and a maximum of two (2) months. Please submit your completed membership hold form here. Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org should you have an request outside this policy.
1) I CROSSFIT OUT OF TOWN AND WILL BE VISITING FOR A FEW DAYS. CAN I DROP IN?
Yes, we’re always happy to have folks join us for a WOD!

3) CAN I PAY MY DROP IN FEE AT LOCATION?
You can pay your drop-in fee at Depot CrossFit. However, since our most popular classes often reach capacity, we recommend you pay your drop-in fee and reserve your spot for class ahead of time via WODify. You can reserve your spot on our Visitors/Drop-Ins page.
1) IS THERE A CAP ON CLASS SIZES?
We cap each class to ensure that we can provide members with the best coaching possible; the cap depends on the type of class.
2) I’M A FEMALE AND DON’T WANT TO BULK UP. WON’T LIFTING ALL THOSE WEIGHTS MAKE ME BULKY?
In short, our answer is no. Women’s bodies typically don’t naturally produce the amount of testosterone necessary to build significant muscle mass. If you’re imagining a female body builder with large, bulging muscles, that person is likely supplementing their training with steroids, significant calorie intake, and high volume training targeted at specific muscle groups. These women are specifically intent on gaining muscle mass for appearance. Without additional testosterone from steroids, your muscles are likely to develop and gain strength (i.e. you will become more toned!), without adding significant mass. 3) DO YOU ONLY OFFER GROUP CLASSES? OR CAN I COME IN AND WORK OUT ON MY OWN?
CrossFit is designed to be done in small group classes led by a certified trainer, where participants can support and push each other. As such, the vast majority of our business hours are targeted for the class setting. However, we do offer “Open Gym” hours where you can work on strength training, specific techniques, movements, etc. under the supervision of one of our coaches. Please see the gym schedules for information on hours and class times.
4) HOW OFTEN CAN/SHOULD I COME TO CLASS?
Unless you are limited to the 2x/week membership plan, you can come in as often as you’d like! We typically recommend a schedule of 3 days-on followed by a day of rest. Most of our members will need to work up to this level. If you’re just starting out, we recommend coming every other day initially to see how your body reacts/adapts. Ultimately, you should listen to your body and increase your frequency as you feel comfortable. Rest days are just as crucial to your health and development as workout days are; your strength gains will actually happen during your rest days! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask one of our coaches.
5) I HEARD YOU CAN GET INJURED DOING CROSSFIT. IS THIS TRUE?
As with any recreational activity or sport, there is a chance of injury. However, to better ensure your own safety and to get the most out of CrossFit, it is important that you are first provided with the appropriate coaching. At Depot, we emphasize proper form and technique, and help scale intensity and weights appropriately to each individual's ability and skill. We also remind athletes that each workout is about improving technique and strength, and not about sacrificing form/technique (and most importantly, safety!) to “beat” fellow members’ scores/weights/times. Our coaches will watch you closely to make sure you are scaling appropriately, so please be receptive to their feedback.
6) I HAVE AN EXISTING INJURY. CAN I STILL DO CROSSFIT?
This depends on the type of injury you have. Please let us know what’s giving you trouble and any feedback you’ve received from your doctor. Our coaches will appropriately modify/scale any workout around your injury to the extent you are able to workout.
7) DO YOU OFFER PARKING?
Yes, we have dedicated parking lots at each of our locations that our members are welcome to use free of charge.
8) DO YOU HAVE SHOWERS?
Yes, we have showers at each of our locations.
